Common Questions

Information about how our services work and what to expect

When you begin service, we assign a specific crew to your property. This same team visits your space each week throughout the maintenance season. They become familiar with your property's layout, specific needs, and any preferences you've communicated. This consistency means they develop expertise specific to your landscape rather than treating it as a generic property they've never seen before.

Crew assignment isn't random—we consider factors like property location, service requirements, and crew capabilities when making assignments. Once established, this relationship continues season after season unless circumstances require adjustment.

Southern Ontario weather can be unpredictable. When rain or other conditions prevent service on your scheduled day, we reschedule for the next available time that week. Your crew knows which properties need attention and adjusts their route accordingly. Because we maintain regular weekly intervals, one weather delay doesn't cascade into ongoing scheduling problems.

During extreme weather events that affect multiple service days, we prioritize properties based on need and communicate any significant delays. The goal is maintaining consistent care despite weather variability.

No. Most homeowners aren't present during regular maintenance visits. Your crew accesses the necessary areas of your property, performs scheduled services, and secures gates or other access points when finished. If you have specific instructions or concerns, we discuss those during initial setup, and your crew follows them consistently.

For seasonal services like spring or fall cleanup, some homeowners prefer to be available to discuss specific areas or preferences. This is optional—we can perform these services with or without you present based on your preference.

Services naturally shift as seasons change. Spring cleanup prepares your property for the growing season and transitions into regular weekly lawn care. As fall approaches, we perform final cleanup and prepare your landscape for winter. Winter brings snow removal coordination. Then spring returns and the cycle continues.

These transitions happen smoothly because the same crew maintains your property year-round. They understand your property's seasonal patterns and adjust services accordingly without requiring extensive communication or coordination from you.

Service adjustments happen naturally throughout our relationship. If you want a certain area maintained differently, if you've added new garden beds, if your preferences change—communicate this and your crew implements the adjustment. Because they already know your property, explaining changes is straightforward. You're not starting from scratch with each modification.

Some homeowners make seasonal adjustments—perhaps focusing more attention on front beds during summer when they entertain outdoors, or adjusting service frequency during vacation periods. We accommodate these variations while maintaining overall consistency.

Garden bed maintenance focuses on keeping these areas looking intentional and well-cared-for. This includes regular weeding before invasive plants establish, maintaining appropriate mulch depth, keeping bed edges crisp and defined, and removing debris that accumulates over time. The work happens alongside regular lawn care rather than requiring separate visits.

We don't handle plant selection, installation, or major redesign—that's landscaping rather than maintenance. Our focus is preserving and maintaining beds that already exist, keeping them attractive and healthy throughout the season.

Snow removal operates on an as-needed basis rather than a fixed weekly schedule—we respond when snowfall requires clearing. However, because we already maintain your property year-round, winter coordination is seamless. The provider knows your property layout, understands where snow should be placed, and is familiar with any access or preference considerations.

This integrated approach eliminates the common problem of finding and managing a separate winter service provider who doesn't know your property. Year-round service means consistent attention regardless of season.

Because your crew visits weekly and knows your property well, they notice changes or issues that develop. If they observe something concerning—a section of lawn showing unusual stress, drainage problems after rain, signs of pest activity, or other issues—they communicate this to you. This early awareness often allows you to address problems before they become serious.

We don't diagnose complex landscape problems or provide treatment services beyond basic maintenance, but we do alert you to conditions that may need attention. Think of it as having knowledgeable eyes on your property every week.

Yes. While many homeowners begin service in spring, you can start at any point during the year. If you begin mid-summer, we assess your property's current condition and begin regular weekly maintenance from that point forward. If you start in fall, we may recommend cleanup service to prepare for winter before transitioning to snow removal coordination.

Starting mid-season means your crew has less time to learn your property's patterns before winter, but they still develop familiarity more quickly than you'd experience with rotating teams or one-time service providers.

We focus on residential properties throughout Southern Ontario. Service areas are organized to allow consistent crew assignment—we don't want your crew traveling excessive distances, which would compromise scheduling reliability. During initial consultation, we confirm whether your property location works within our service structure.

Geographic focus allows us to maintain the crew consistency that makes our approach effective. Serving properties that are too dispersed would require rotating crews, which defeats the purpose of dedicated assignment.
